My greatest joy in 2020 was discovering how extremely powerful Gratitude exercises can be.

I read Rhonda Byrne’s book, ‘The Magic’ in June 2020 and practiced the daily gratitude exercises on a daily basis ever since. Words can’t describe how it transformed my life spiritually, physically and mentally.

Gratitude brought love, joy and peace into my heart that I’ve never felt before. Gratitude has probably been the single most important characteristic I’ve practiced in my life.

Some books describe Gratitude as the deed of Love, meaning that Love expresses itself through Gratitude. And by practicing Gratitude you live your life with Love.

It corresponds with my two favourite Bible scriptures, Galatians 5 vs 22, and 1 Corinthians 13 which talks about Love.

There are small things we take for granted and don’t even realise. There are so many things to be grateful for early in the morning, e.g.

I woke up this morning. My wife Vanessa is alive. I have air in my lungs to breath. I had a good night’s rest. I am healthy. I can walk. I have a kettle to make coffee. I have a microwave to warm the milk. My bed was warm. I have clothes to wear. I have a toothbrush to brush my teeth. And hands to actually brush. Eyes to see. Ears to listen. I’m also thankful for the cows that produces the milk for my coffee. Etc. Etc. Etc.

The wonderful thing about starting my day with gratitude is that I carry gratitude with me throughout the day.

The collage below reminds me to live my life with Love, Joy and a Grateful Heart.

There is a lovely quote that says “What you focus on will expand, and will manifest in your life”. Therefore I choose to focus on gratitude, then more things will come into my life to be grateful for.

Stay blessed
