Awareness Mind Map
I love Mind Maps and have wrote about it before.
Below is an example of how I do mind maps.
Please note the contents of this mind map is not important, it’s the mind map technique that I want to share.
I read the book “Being Aware of Being Aware”. While reading I saw a trend emerging throughout the book. Afterwards I made written notes of the key trends and concepts, which you can see in attached pic.
I then made a mind map in an app called SimpleMind. I love adding pictures because the brain remember things better in pictures.
In future when I revise the mind map and only look at the pictures, I will remember the important concepts of the book.
It does take time and effort to produce a mind map like this, especially on a digital device. But if you’re creative you can do this much quicker with colour pens and nice pictures.
This mind map will take me less than 1 minute to read, meaning I will revise the book in 1 minute.
Imagine doing this for your studies. You will have many pages, with different mind maps, with different pics or markers to remember the information.
Revision will speed up and you will learn your study material so much quicker. The content will stick in your brain and you will Remember it much much better.
You have to do the mind map yourself to get full advantage of ALL the benefits above.
I hope this helps.
